CIMMERIAN BOSPOROS. Pantikapaion. Circa 355-340 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 15.48 g, 12 h). Laureate head of Apollo to left. Rev. ΠANTI Horse grazing left. Anokhin 1030. HGC 7, 82. MacDonald 49. A beautifully toned and well preserved example of this rare and unusual issue. Slightly rough and with minor spots of corrosion due to metal impurity on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
